USA Racquetball is hosting its first Leadership Conference since 2009

and we hope you will join us.  We will be discussing important information

regarding the future of our sport and greatly value your perspective and input.

Invitees include State Racquetball Association Board Members,

Nationally Recognized Organized Representatives, and USA Racquetball Board and Staff Members.  Feel free to forward this invitation to other qualified individuals.

Call for Best Practices Sharing:

 

Please don't be modest or shy.  A great benefit of the Leadership Conference will be best practices sharing between attendees.  If you have a program or novel approach that may benefit other attendees, please let us know and offer to share your experiecne with others.  Ideas for best practices sharing can be forwarded to Terri Risius, Conference Coordinator.

Conference Costs:

 

$200 All-Inclusive Package

Includes all meals at U.S. Olympic Training Center Dining Hall, dormatory lodging, airport transportation to/from Colorado Springs airport, snacks, refreshments, Penrose House reception/dinner and gifts.

 

$150 Off-Site Lodging Package

Inlcudes everything except dormatory lodging.

 

Cancellations on or before April 2 are fully refundable, between April 3 and April 30 qualify for $75 refund, after April 30 are non-refundable.

 

USA Racquetball Strategic Planning Input Session:

  

Contribute your thoughts and perspective to the USA Racquetball strategic planning process.  This facilitated, limited-size session will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to one representative per State Racquetball Association.  On a space-available basis, a second Association representative may be able to attend.

 

Airport Transportation:

 

For those staying at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, the Center will provide complimentary transportation to/from the Colorado Springs airport (COS).  The latest departure from the airport will be at 10:30 PM.  The earliest shuttle to the airport will depart the Center at 4:30 AM.

 

No airport transptortation is provided from other airports.  Denver International Airport (DEN) offers a wide variety of rental car options.  Shuttles are available from DEN to COS, from which the Center will provide transportation.  Two such services are Colorado Shuttle and Front Range Shuttle.

 

Check-In/Check-Out

  

Standard room check-in is at 2:00 PM.  Check-out is at 9:00 AM.

 

El Pomar Foundation's Penrose House

 

On Monday evening attendees will enjoy a reception and dinner at the El Pomar Foundation's historic Penrose House.  Formerly the home of Spencer and Julie Penrose, this facility now serves as an education and conference center available exclusively for the nonprofit community. Visited by more than 32,000 people annually, Penrose House is an excusite example of early 20th century architecture and houses one of the best art collections in the State.  Spencer and Julie were behind a great many Colorado Springs institutions, including building the Broadmoor Resort, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Pikes Peak Highway and the Cog Railway.  Attire for the evening will be resort casual or resort evening.
